My basic ramblings. Read on if you like. I'm not generally concerned about being "PC" so if you're a crabby person...save yourself some stress. Don't read.

What is the one thing you buy for yourself that you simply must have? Mine? Soft sheets. Cotton Sateen. I adore them. The more you wash, the softer they get. I can not stand scratchy sheets and blankets. I must be comfy to sleep. Unless I am dog tired.  For food items. I always splurge to have A-1. The off brand steak sauce does not cut it. Not that I use a lot of it mind you. But my messysandwiches don't taste right without real A-1. Also, real butter. None of that fake stuff. Wha...

Alright. Everyone knows, when it snows, it sometimes gets very very slippery. I am what I term to be a "Old Baba" driver. It gets cold, with lots of snow on the road, and I turn into a little old lady. 30 maybe 40 mph. I'll get where I'm going. And. I won't wind up in the ditch. NOW. Here's where I get cranky. Just because you happen to own an 4x4 SUV, it doesn't mean you can drive the same way you would on clear roads. All it means, is all four of your tires are turning. It gives you no right...

New Page 1 My strange little hobby of collecting TV episodes takes animmense amount of time. Of course, sometimes it's only for me, so I'm the onlyone making myself wait with this. But not today. Today, I got a call from one ofmy friends, whose Grandmother passed and she was coming home for the funeral. Ofcourse, she didn't say she had to have the episodes I'm collecting for her, butI'd like for her to have them. Third Watch. It makes her happy. Her firemen andpolicemen. She just loves ...

Ok. I admit. XP isn't evil. Bill Gates. I'm still thinkin he's the devil. Ah, so I have XP now. And I must admit some things are pretty neat about it. I haven't tried making a DVD yet. But, tomorrow is another story. Well, later today. I'm still operating on the "It's Friday" premise. A story. I said I would tell you one. What should it be? My name. It's not an interesting story. But it's a story none the less. Since I was little. Probably one or two, my mom and dad have called me L...

I've been asked to be a bridesmaid. I said yes, only after she promised no orange taffeta. So. It's -3 degrees. I'm just getting home, cause the roads are yucky. And now I'm all spazzed cause of the drive home. Slippery roads always make me stressed. Fear of the ditch I suppose. Mom always worried about those ditches. That, and the state of my room. My cat is looking at me. I don't know why. She's got food, water..clean litter box. Why is she staring at me? It's funny. Speaking of fu...

12. 12 freakin' degrees. And tomorrow? Colder. Possible minus degrees happening tomorrow night. Where's the dang global warming! I see no evidence of it now. So, still haven't gotten the DVD burning program to work right. Beginning to think Bill Gates is behind some door laughing his head off at us. I'm actually desperate enough to..and I CAN'T believe I'm saying this...buy XP home version. :: slaps hands to head and whimpers:: No no... Since when did I become one of the sheep!? I like...

As the title states, sometimes, I feel stupid. Like today for instance. I'm sick, granted, that could be some of it. But no, I think it's more that I am under-informed about things. I'm building my new computer. I bought a brand new DVD burner for my new toy. Of course, it sat there mocking me, until I put it in the current computer to play with it. I decided it was research. Yeah. That's it. Have to explore the options, so when it's in the new computer, I already have figured things out. Yea...

Don't ask me how, or why. But, I'm sick. When you are sick and DJing, there is no going home early. You have to tough it out. People kept saying, "My god, you look like you feel bad." And then the closer few would touch my head and tell me I was burning up. Aha...so that would be why my eyeballs feel like they're on fire. I was wondering what that was. A friend was wearing J-Lo perfume. It's a heavy patcholli (I know I spelled that wrong) smell. Not bad...just heavy. Well gang. I can...

New Page 1 Building The Perfect Beast. It was a Don Henleyalbum title once upon a time. Today, it has a new meaning for me. I'm building asecond computer. I know, you're saying "Why not just buy one?" I likebuilding my own. I'll know what's in it then. It'll be parts I like, know andtrust. Not just whatever they got a hold of cheap. Too bad you couldn't build other things the same way.   Not much else to report today. But then, for methe day isn't over. I have to ...

New Page 1 Greeting gentle reader! I hopethis finds you in good health and spirits. Karaoke is a funny thing. You cannights where all your singers are good. And then there are mixed nights. Liketonight. There's this one guy. He's older. He's always at karaoke. He couldn'tcarry a tune in a bucket if you handed it to him. But he tries. That's whatcounts. But sometimes, I really wanna shake him. The songs he sings, are mostlyolder country. And there's a few songs I hadn't heard in a ...

New Page 1 Hello, howdy and greetings onthis, the first official few hours of 2004! Oh...and Happy New Year to thoseon the west coast just now ringing it in. So, I had to DJ tonight. No bigsurprise there. But here's my only little complaint about it. I'm working, someone at the gas station should be as well. I had plenty of gas, but in thecourse of the evening, went through almost a full pack of smokes. (Drunksmisplaced theirs on a regular basis). Ah well. Such is the way of thi...

New Page 1 It's Monday in the big town.Kidding. Where I live... not that big. I'm experimenting with web pageeditor. For a couple of reasons.  1> To help it look better.2> It has a spell check! I'm not spelling challenged, buteven the best of us can typo a word now and again. So.  The bar I work at is out in thecountry. So, our patrons are mostly retired. Some work at the local salt mine.Yeah, a honest to Pete salt mine. So when they say, "Back to t...

Alright. Monday evening. CSI Miami is on. But...the man...Whose name I can not recall right now..He has a strange acting style. I like the regular CSI best. William Peterson, far more entertaining. Maybe they just give him better scripts. I just returned home. Boyfriend took me to the movies. We saw Paycheck. I tried conning him into Mona Lisa Smile...but no dice. Paycheck was not bad. You didn't realize 2 hours went by. It keeps you in the story. Very little lag...well thought out. Interesti...

Above title a reaction to the surprise that someones reading. Really. You'll find I'm boring. And ...no one listens to me. Ah...Sunday. When it's not the holiday, it's one of my few days off. So, I naturally enjoy Sunday. Football, getting some music sorted. (I'll explain in a bit) Cleaning my office so I can find stuff. Riddle me this...why is it, that when you clean, it alway looks worse then when you started in the middle. But by the time you're done it looks great...then you don't want...

Ah, we're past the welcome screen. And so it begins. My name is Ali. It's short for Alicia. My dad calls me Lisa. Has since I was 2. Don't know why. I still answer to it. I answer to just about anything most of the time. I also bartend, as well as DJ. So "Hey you" "Beertender" and other such things I've grown used to. I just turned 32. A week before Christmas. And if you think that didn't suck growing up, you're wrong. I totally sympathize with anyone whose been unfortunate enough to have...
