My basic ramblings. Read on if you like. I'm not generally concerned about being "PC" so if you're a crabby person...save yourself some stress. Don't read.

Above title a reaction to the surprise that someones reading. Really. You'll find I'm boring. And ...no one listens to me.
Ah...Sunday. When it's not the holiday, it's one of my few days off. So, I naturally enjoy Sunday. Football, getting some music sorted. (I'll explain in a bit) Cleaning my office so I can find stuff.
Riddle me this...why is it, that when you clean, it alway looks worse then when you started in the middle. But by the time you're done it looks great...then you don't want to mess with it. Sorta negates the point of making things find-able.

SO, as a DJ I have lots of tunes hanging around. I still resort to the net once in a great while to get some tunes...especially when I've heard the CD, and there's only 1 useable track on it. I am not paying the cash to get it only to have it sit around collecting dust. I just won't do it. The music industry can bite me. Umm.....they might...I shouldn't say that. They're positvely rabid these days. Granted I did like the way the judge slammed them down on supoena-ing the cable co. for their user lists. That'll drive them nuts for a while. Oh, I'm sure they'll get around it...but it'll take them longer. Money grubbing bastards. Whoa...ranted there for a moment. Sorry.
Back to the sorting tunes thing. I work for 2 other DJ companies. One guy is injured, so I'm helping out. We've known each other for about 6 years, he's kinda like family. So..we've been converting things to MP3 format. Making disks with mp3's on it. It's going well enough. I also know of a couple people who got MP3 players for X-mas. So, I'm making them some disks. No big. Just like sharing the love, ya know. By doing this, it also calls my attention to how many songs I have stored on my hard drive, how many are repeats and what needs to get burned off so I can reclaim some space. An entire set of music generally takes about 2 GB. A set generally being about 12 disks for the year. I do them in good quality. I don't want them to suck.

I giggled at that last phrase....lost my train of thought. We're heading for tangent land now.

Are all the programmers at the network a bunch of sheep or what?! Holy cats and egads! Reality TV. Some people like it. But, the more you look at "reality TV" the more you realize, that it's no way resembling anything that would ever happen to you. Or shows like "Fear Factor"...and I'm gonna rant about that for one moment. What does putting disgusting, unhealthy things in your mouth, have to with fear. It's just gross. Period. No further discussion needed.
Granted, I am totally guilty of watch the home decorating shows. Trading Spaces, While You Were Out. Those are neat. Granted some of those designers need a good swift kick in the head..(Hildie-for those who watch, she's the dark headed one who has a thing for painting couches and carpets. And recently, I saw her put CARDBOARD on the wall. She needs to go.) I would love for Vern to come decorate one of my rooms. He's a good designer. Or Thom from The Queer Eye For The Straight Guy. That show just rocks. And Thom's rooms are always very tasteful.
Ah...the sheep thing. One show comes on...it's a hit...BOOOM all other networks scramble to get their own version up and running. Baaaa. Someone needs to make sweaters out of them and put some new people in charge.
You don't want me in charge. I'm more of a drama buff...sit coms these days are disappointing. How did that Raymond guy get his own show? His voice bugs me. And it's really not very funny. But then...don't ask me. I think Monty Phython is good, and I love some really goofy movies. Real Genius, Hudson Hawk, I dislike Chris Farely and I couldn't stand Dumb And Dumber. Nuff said? See? Told you I was weird.
Wow...I wasn't kidding about the tangent thing.
My old boyfriend Michael always said it was a challenge talking to me.
My Michael. We still love each other....but...we're complete and total opposites. He's day, I'm night. Literally. He's all health concerned, rock climbs, he's a massage therapist now. I'm a bar person. I don't drink though. So it's not that so much as the hours thing with us. I'm a complete night person. I sleep best between 4 AM and 11 AM. Don't know why. But that's the way it seems to go. He's more introverted...I'm out there. Talking to people. I can't get enough of that. Learning about new people, places, things.
I need to hit the lottery. Or work for the Travel Channel. Put me in a car, or plane...send me somewhere. I'll go!

Wow...I've really typed alot today. Hope I didn't bore you.
I'm going to go get some work done. I have about 3 more sets of music to burn to disk and get off my hard drive. I just needed a mini break from doing it. Too much of one thing and a person can go loopy...strange in the head.
Take care of yourself!

Okay but I love Amazing Race. And some reality shows are just so stupid that you watch them just to laugh. such as the lie detector test on Meet my Folks - too funny. My favorite TS designer is Doug. At least his rooms don't all look the same. He has had some misses but some turn out great. I found you interesting. See telling people to read this thing works.
