I make lists all the time. They litter my desk. My wall and the window. 

This does not always mean I follow these things. Or even pay attention to them really. It's reference points for later on.

They go with the master plan in my head. I have certain things I am planning to do. Once I pay off this one bill, I have a plan for my computer. It's going to take me three weeks to pay the thing off. So. In those 3 weeks, I will make many lists, based on research I do between now and then. One list looks like the following.

List one:
Computer Parts Needed

Graphics Card    -Possibilities  -ATI Sapphire Radeon9600se 8xAGP 128MB DDR Found in Tiger Direct for $99.99 OR a different model of the ATI card.

Sound Card    - Creative Sound Blaster 5.1 card-Approx price $65

Motherboard/Chip/Fan    - AMD Athlon 3200XP+ . (Look for combination on various sites)

RAM    -DDR- 1GB  333mhz? 400mhz? Depends on MB.

See? And I'll make 3 or four of those as my research continues. Certain things are already set in my head. I've always had good luck with ATI graphics cards. Sound blaster makes the best sound card for what I need. And I want the AMD chip. Just which speed changes as I look at the cost and RAM types change as I change my mind about the chip and board. I'll have three weeks after I pay the bill to do more research. So, I'll have a lot of different options by then. I'll discuss them with a computer friend of mine, and we'll plan out the best one for me. He knows what I do over here. I drive him crazy sometimes, but he puts up with me anyway. In the end, I'll take all this info, and I will buy my stuff.

Then. The next week. Something better will come out and I'll pound my head on the wall.

Second list is for after I get the computer built. What's next. Printer. I've already decided on an HP. Just which model is the question. And here's where I break into a little rant.

I have an HP printer now. I love it. I've had it for 5 years now. Still works great. But it's time to upgrade. The one I have does automatic two sided printing. I use it often. So, the new printer would also have to have that feature. The one I have, came with this feature. No other parts needed. However. The new models all need a duplex module to do two sided printing. ARGH. Why can't they just build it in there!? Instead, I've got to dink around and buy another part for any printer I get. Madness I tell you. But, I will not complain too much. I dearly love HP printers...HP in general. I've always had excellent luck with them. And if I ever had an issue, the customer service is fantastic. So. I'll deal with this little issue.

After the printer.....you see how this goes. One thing after the other. Slow, steady. No rush really. Just plodding along. Quite happy with my life as is. There are other lists. Ones I haven't put to paper. Things I'll get started on as time goes on. Perhaps going back to school. I haven't a clue for what, or how to do any of that. But I'll figure it out. I can figure out anything, given enough time. I'm good like that.
