My basic ramblings. Read on if you like. I'm not generally concerned about being "PC" so if you're a crabby person...save yourself some stress. Don't read.
Not the game. The entertainment.

I don't know about you, but this year's halftime show really bit. If it sucked, it would've felt good.
MTV should NEVER be in charge of anything for the general public viewing audience.
The Janet thing. I really can't believe she did that. I know she's been getting racier as she's progressed in her career. But this is a stunt we'd expect to see Madonna pull. Janet's always been flirting with the edge of "naughty". I always thought her to have a classier sense of style when it came to performing. But then, this is MTV we're talking about. And there's the point. They want us talking about this.
I think it's entirely possible that past Star reporters now work for MTV. Next, we'll be seeing ailen babies. :: grins:: Smell that sarcasm.
CBS shouldn't be blamed for the quality of halftime show, or it's content. The responsibility lies squarely on MTV's shoulders.

As for the commercials. I was disappointed. It's one of the reasons I watch the Super Bowl if my team (The Pack) isn't playing. Past years commercials have been vastly entertaining. But this year. Not a stellar one among the bunch. All very disappointing. Some ad exces should be updating their resumes right now, for I think they shall be fired tomorrow morning.

Back to my little rant about MTV. Anyone else remember the days when they actually played music? They didn't talk to you like you were 13. They gave you the MUSIC news. Now. I never see videos on there. If I do. It's a clip. Not the whole thing. Their little countdown show. It's very disorganized. American Pie mentality. I'm sorry. Not all of us out here think that way. Which is why I don't bother watching anymore. VH-1, sad to say, seems to be heading down the drain with MTV. Not a big surprise since they are owned by the same company. Has anyone seen the commerical for VH-1, with the kitten and the bugs? I believe the music in the background is "Run For The Hills" (Don't beat me if I get the band wrong) I believe the group is Iron Maiden....I don't know for sure. BUT. The commerical is puzzling. I'm not even sure what point it's trying to make. And seriously. How many of VH-1's viewing audience that "gets" that ad, also need Viagra? I venture a guess that not many do.

Where has the class gone in TV these days?
I haven't a clue.

that vh1 commercial with the Iron Maiden kicks ass. The point of it? Watch the commercial, it's for 100 Most Metal Moments, but I guess you'd hve to be literate to read that.

I knew it was for Metal Moments....but what's with the cat and the bug? Seriously tripped out.
